The paper identifies three principles of Chaos Theory and exemplifies them using three Woods Bagot projects in the Middle East. Based on the notion that chaos is a system, not an aesthetic, the paper argues that we must look for strategies for environmental design— not the creation of a style.
With ecological requirements becoming major components of design briefs, the three principles outlined in the paper give some direction to how architectural design could conform to the demand.
