ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN FIRM WOODS BAGOT NAMED INTERNATIONAL PRACTICE OF THE YEAR

Global architectural firm Woods Bagot has been recognised as the ‘International Practice of the Year’ at the prestigious AJ100 Awards in London.

The AJ100 Awards recognise the achievements of the largest 100 architectural practices in the UK based on survey results and the ‘International Practice of the Year’ award being presented at the jury’s discretion.

“At Woods Bagot, we have an exciting and ambitious vision; by 2010, we will be a global leader in design and consulting underpinned by research. This AJ100 Award shows that the firm is well on its way to achieving this objective,” stated Ross Donaldson, Group Managing Director of Woods Bagot.

Woods Bagot’s commitment to global excellence has resulted in a workforce of 600 staff based in five regions, in cities such as Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Sydney, Beijing, Hong Kong, London and most recently, San Francisco and New York.

This year, the practice completed several flagship projects, such as the Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre and the Qatar Science and Technology Park.

It has also announced planning permission for what will be one of the world’s most luxurious hotels at 10 Trinity Square, London and unveiled plans for the Middle East’s tallest tower – at more than 1km high – in Dubai.
